Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has formally requested police headquarters, the Revenue Investigation Department (RID) and the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) to investigate and take action against the promoters of troubled Nepal Development Bank (NDB) on the charge of embezzling Rs 1.08 billion.
NRB has filed separate charge sheets against NDB patron NDB Uttam Bahadur Pun, who previously held the positions of chairman and managing director of the bank, and incumbent chairman Amar Gurung, along with past and present board directors, advisors, the managing director and chief executive officer and other officials.
