With a view to provide extensive banking services to the peoples residing across the country, Citizens Bank International (CBI) on Friday opened its 13th branch at Birtamode, Jhapa.Pradeep Jung Pandey, director of the bank, inaugurated the new branch amidst a function organized at Birtamode.
According to the bank, in the fiscal year 2065/66 the bank collected Rs. 11.52 billion as deposits and floated Rs. 8.21 billion loans and advances. In the same period, the bank operating profit stood at Rs.184.5 million.
The bank claimed that it had 46,000 customers taking advantage of the bank’s modern banking facilities. The new branch will provide savings and loans facilities including ATM, remittance, draft, TT services.
The bank said that it was planning to open three additional branches at Kalanki, Thaiti, Nayabazaar and Maitidevi within this week.
