Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA) meetings held in December 13 and 20 formed committees to boost investment in Nepal and lobby for dual citizenship for Non-Resident Nepalese (NRN). NRNA has formed 12 committees for different issues raised during the fourth NRNA summit held here in October.
NRNA has appointed Ram Pratap Thapa coordinator of dual citizenship committee, Dev Man Hirachan coordinator of $100 million fund and Sagar Nepal coordinator of foreign employment. The association has promised to set up the fund for industrialization of Nepal.
NRNA, the umbrella organization of Nepalese residing in different countries, has appointed Dr Upendra Mahato patron of the organization. Dr Mahato has accepted the request, it said. It has appointed reputed Nepalis like Dr Kul Chandra Gautam, Dr Surya Subedi, Sarada Jung Thapa, Biswa Kanta Mainali, Indira Ban, Dr Dev Kaji Dangol and Dr Jugal Kishor Bhurtel advisors.
It NRNA decided to organize the fourth regional conference in Texas of America in May 28-30, 2010. The meeting has appointed 10 members in its executive board from different countries.
